GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

At the core of Festival of Fire is the drive to support and bring communities together. This year our social investment is focussed on "Growing for Good". Our partnership with Abalimi Bezekhaya, a Voluntary Association established in 1982, will allow us to provide support to local, disadvantage communities and farmers in the Cape Flats area including Khayelitsha, Nyanga, Philippi, Browns Farm, Crossroads and Gugulethu.

Our collective aim is to combat poverty, by ensuring that these communities are able to feed themselves and have the means to financially support their families by having produce they can sell.

Through our efforts at the Festival of Fire 2024 event we will be able to provide training and infrastructure in communities and at micro farms. The goal is to assist and implement food gardens, teach how to grow sustainably using organic methods, product development and general gardening guidance.

The mission is to empower the disadvantage through urban agriculture and environmental programmes and projects.

Let us come together and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you.
